An Evening With Dr. Ruth
Our Dr. Ruth Event Raised Over $150,000
We wish to thank the Jewish Federation of Greater Middlesex County and the Jewish Community of Central New Jersey for its outpouring of support for our Annual Main Fundraising Event starring Dr. Ruth Westheimer, the well known octogenarian sex therapist, educator, Zionist, Holocaust survivor and radio talk-show host.
The Event, under the leadership of Will Schafer, VP of Fundraising, raised for the second consecutive year over $150,000. Over 250 people attended the VIP dinner and over 400 people listened to Dr. Ruth speak about Jewish attitudes toward sex.
Since tuition alone does not cover all expenses needed to operate the school, this fundraiser is key to support both a highly competitive academic program and scholarship funds.
The Annual Fundraising Event honored Henry and Linda Salmon, 
long time SSDSRV supporters and school parents. Henry is the Immediate Past President of SSDSRV. Helping to honor the Salmons were former Head of School, Rabbi Scott Bolton and current President, Michael A. “Mickey” Kaufman.
We honored the Caroline and Joseph S. Gruss Life Monument Fund, Inc. for its donations to create new computer and science laboratories to the School. Representing the Fund were Judy Lebovits, Director of the Fund’s Center for Initiatives in Jewish Education and its President, Jason Cury.
